Debe Loughlin “Botanical Blueprints”
Imagine coves and islands hiding within the shape of seaweed. Now imagine discovering these fantasy places with the guidance of Debe Loughlin. Join us for an afternoon of creative discovery. Debe has developed a process of using cyan type printing with seaweed. You then apply your imagine to these “blueprints” to illustrate coves, harbors, villages and much more along the seaweed’s edge. James Sylvester “Seaweed Printing”
The beauty found in seaweed can be brought forward with the printmaking processes. James Sylvester brings many years of printmaking experience to the InPress program. He will discuss various printmaking tools and techniques. Dried seaweed samples will be used to print colorful shapes and designs. After this creative experience, we are sure you will never look at seaweed the same again. Join us and explore.
