As summer comes to a close, we try to preserve the gifts the Earth shares with us. This program takes a closer look harvesting and drying herbs; collecting seeds and wintering plants and bulbs for the next year. Learn to extend your the gifts from your garden and enjoy Earth’s harvest.

This group will instruct you on working with slab, quick drying clay. Lyn Zajchowski is a potter in the Midcoast area. John Wright works with slab clay to produce whimsical items for your home. Learn about where clay comes from and its different properties. No glazing or kiln firing will be done own this group.

Often we like to collect seeds from our flower and vegetable garden to enjoy the next year. James Sylvester will share his printmaking skills to help you create decorative ways of storing seeds. Design your seed symbol and stamp labels onto small containers or small envelops. This is fun and colorful way to share your favorite plant seeds with friends.
